Ever feel like you're stumbling through your day-to-day, or completely stuck no matter what you try? Maybe you find yourself wearing a mask to hide exhaustion and loneliness inside. I offer warm, online-only counselling to help you break free from the exhausting cycle of people-pleasing, persistent anxiety, and low mood. If you're tired of carrying it alone, I offer a confidential space to gain clarity, set clear boundaries, manage burnout, and feel calm and in control.
About me and my practice
Im Roxanne, an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist offering a compassionate space for you to explore and grow.
I know first-hand how important it is to find the right therapistand I also know how difficult it can be to take those first steps toward change.
I work integratively, drawing primarily on person-centred and psychodynamic approaches. This means our journey is always tailored to you. In our sessions, you are in the drivers seat: you set the pace, and we walk side-by-side as a team to figure things out. Building trust is key to making our journey successful.
Well explore your story and understand how past experiencesincluding those from childhoodcan shape and influence your present thoughts and behaviours. Well look at unconscious feelings that might be keeping you stuck, helping you gain a new perspective on your struggles and find effective ways to cope.
I may also draw on practical, solution-based tools like CBT to break unwanted patterns, and mindfulness to help you stay present and manage overwhelm.
While I work with a broad range of challenges, I am particularly skilled at helping people set clear boundaries, express their needs directly, and break free from frustrating people-pleasing patterns. The work we do together focuses on helping you reclaim your energy and find relief from:
Chronic Effort & Burnout
Anxiety and Low Mood
Perfectionism and the Need for Control
Managing a heavy mental load
I have experience supporting individuals with neurodivergence and understand the profound toll that constantly trying to "fit in" can take. My focus is on helping you move past the exhaustion and instead, find effective ways to work with you and your natural cognitive style.
The goal of our work is simple: to help you build self-worth, forge healthier relationships, and live a life that feels authentic, calm, and firmly in your control.
Experience
I have gained broad experience working with a diverse range of clients across various settings, including:
As an online counsellor with Lot 36 Agency.
Providing short-term counselling at the University of East London.
Serving as a volunteer counsellor at The Centre for Better Health in Hackney.
In addition to my clinical practice, I have over a decade of experience working in education and charities with young people, actively promoting their wellbeing and good mental health. I also previously served as the Mental Health Lead in a secondary school, ensuring my experience remains current and relevant.
Qualifications
I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I also ensure I keep my skills up to date by undertaking continual professional development.
